A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from friends or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be quite easy in case you have a web hosting with us. You can enable the feature through our advanced, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will manage the web hosting account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created shown alphabetically and to the right of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously show you if a certain mailbox gets all the emails pertaining to a certain domain or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you like. In case there’s active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be configured with a couple of clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated server with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be managed through our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up email addresses under any domain registered there. To activate the catch-all option for a particular mailbox, you’ll have to click the sign with the same name, which will be next to each email address. Deactivating this feature can be accomplished in the very same manner and will not require more than one click either. In case a catch-all mailbox has already been enabled for a given domain name, you will receive a warning text message. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never replace or deactivate anything automatically.
